INTRODUCTION LEVEL COURSES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • INTRODUCTION TO FASHION DESIGN

  • Understanding of English
  • Curiosity and artistic sensitivity



  • INTRODUCTION TO FASHION MARKETING

  • No specific requirements



  • INTRODUCTION TO INTERIOR DESIGN

  • Students will have to be motivated and curious, ready to work as individuals and in groups. Active participation for the entire experience will be highly profitable for the students.
  • No specific skills are necessary generally besides a level of education equivalent or above the high school level but, a minimum drawing attitude and word processing skills are recommended; The course is also open to students of the first and second year of other design studies as well as fashion, communication and visual arts, who desire to enrich their knowledge and understanding of interior design.
  • All classes are conducted in English, so you will be required to have a fluent understanding of the language.
  • After this introduction, students will take the opportunity to apply to the Interior Design Studio course from 15th to 25th of July. In this case have a look at Interior Design Studio admission requirements.



  • INTRODUCTION TO PRODUCT DESIGN

  • Students will have to be motivated and curious, ready to work as individuals and in groups. Active participation in the seminars and studios will be highly profitable for the students.
  • No specific skills are necessary, but a minimum drawing attitude word processing skills are recommended. Generally, besides a level of education equivalent or above the high school level.
  • The course is also open to students of the first and second year of other design studies as well as fashion, communication and visual arts, who desire to enrich their knowledge and understanding of interior and furniture design.
  • All classes are conducted in English, so you will be required to have a fluent understanding of the language.
  • Students, after this session will apply also to the Design Studio course 15th – 25th July.



  • INTRODUCTION TO GRAPHIC DESIGN

  • No prior knowledge or experience is required.
  • Students will be asked to work in groups as well as individually.



  • INTRODUCTION TO CONTEMPORARY ART

  • Participants should have a basic knowledge of the main historical phases of modernity (do not to confuse pre-war for post-war), willingness to read a cultural phenomenon and to study an essay considering it as an intellectual tool.



INTERMEDIATE LEVEL COURSES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • FASHION DESIGN STUDIO

  • It will help to draw well, but that is not essential – methods can be used to overcome that.
  • Understanding of English.
  • Willingness to learn.



  • FASHION MERCHANDISING STUDIO

  • Successful completion of a marketing or fashion marketing course.



  • FASHION STYLING STUDIO

  • Research and creative vision
  • natural bent to communicate a concept through objects, clothings and choosing ambients digital photography and graphic techniques



  • FASHION JOURNALISM STUDIO

  • Making motivations for 'loving Fashion' clear to oneself.
  • Having read or learned about Fashion and having a specific idea of what Italian Fashion is about.



  • FASHION TEXTILE & FIBRES STUDIO

  • Basic textile techniques.



  • INTERIOR DESIGN STUDIO

  • Students will have to be motivated and curious, ready to work as individuals and in groups. Active participation in the seminars and studios will be highly profitable for the students. Drawing (by hand or digitally) and model-making skills are required. In general the level of education should be equivalent or higher than the second year of college studies (BA) in design.
  • Students that already participated to the introduction level (30 June – 11 July) will be accepted in this course. In this case be ready and flexible to manage an upper level, sharing with designer the experience and the process of design work. If this level isn’t part of your own, you can also participate as an auditors.
  • All classes are conducted in English, so you will be required to have a fluent understanding of the language.



  • PRODUCT DESIGN STUDIO

  • Students will have to be motivated and curious, ready to work both as individuals and in groups. Active participation in the seminars and studios will be highly profitable for the students. Drawing (by hand or digitally) and model-making skills are required. In general the level of education should be equivalent or higher than the second year of college studies (BA) in design.
  • Students that have participated to the introduction level (2nd – 12th July) will be accepted in this course. In this case be ready and flexible to manage an upper level in the approaching and in developing a design work.
  • All classes are taught in English, so you will be required to have a fluent understanding of the language.



  • GRAPHIC DESIGN STUDIO

  • Successful completion of a Graphic Introduction Course or similar.
  • The ability to use basic Photoshop and Illustrator (or similar applications) is strongly recommended.



  • Sensorial Design: Production and Marketing of Lifestyles

  • Students will have to be motivated and curious, ready to work as individuals and in groups. Active participation in the seminars and studios will be highly profitable for the students. Drawing (by hand or digitally) and model-making skills are required. In general the level of education should be equivalent or higher than the second year of college studies (BA) in design.

  • CONTEMPORARY ART AND CURATORIAL STUDIES

  • Participants should have knowledge with the history of contemporary art and culture and a vivid interest for arts meant as public and usable phenomena (shows, concerts, performances, exhibitions, live events).
