COURSE DESCRIPTION

To design is to have an open mind. In this graphic course we ask to focus on the contemporary visual surroundings and to question its quality and reason.
This course is for beginners who seek an introduction to the basics of graphic design. Students will explore the links between urban communication and graphic design by a mixture of theory and practice. Students will explore basic notions of the graphic medium such as composition, color, materials, position and typography.
The students will learn how to express themselves visually and to understand the contemporary visual world.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course aims to provide the students with the basic technical skills and to present a visual vocabulary that enables a generation of various graphic identities.
Students will be given assignments divided into the basic notions of graphics that all work toward a shared final expression.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

No prior knowledge or experience is required.
Students will be asked to work in groups as well as individually.

OUTPUT

The final outcome of the exercises will be in the form of a smaller printed volume.
