How do you make a drawing with light? Have you ever made a short animation movie? The course will focus on a simple technique used to create animations by drawing with light; a series of long-exposure stills that are edited in a sequence to form a short movie.The students will express their creativity using flashlights and colour filters making their luminous designs come to life.
The course will give students an understanding of the moving imagery and of how to control it in a simple manner. Students will be given an introduction to the stop-motion technique and to digital photography that they will combine with the technique of creating an abstract animation film. This technique requires students to work in groups to draw the animation together.

The technique requires the students to work in groups collaborating to draw the animation together .ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Students should desire to create a visual storyline. Applying students need no prior knowledge of the movie media, however a genuine motivation and interest in the media is expected along with the ability to work in groups. Basic photographic skills represent a minimum requirement and a digital photo camera is required. A personal laptop with the basic knowledge is strongly recommended.OUTPUT
As a result of this course students will be able to manage:- Digital photography;
- Storyboarding;
- The Stop-Motion technique.
