The courses that I took were very hands-on, the projects were fun and interesting and the teachers were well informed on the subject matter. The class sizes were small and it was easy to get to know the NABA staff, who were always available to help the students. I met so many people who I made great friendships with and hope to see again soon. My only dislike about the program was that it was too short! “It was a pleasure for me to participate in Accessories Summer Course in NABA, July 2009.
The course was concentrated on shoes and bags. During the course you learn to create a mini-collection of shoes and bags. Even if I had already clothes designer skills, I learnt many particularities on accessory design. The process is similar, but there are important peculiarities.
The visits to the showrooms with last collections of luxury shoes and leathers was of great interest.
The Ars Sutoria (High School of Accessory Technology) lessons were extremely useful. It gave the main information on shoe and bag production, the minimum a designer needs know to create his/her collection. The important information on shoe, bag and leather quality was also provided during the course. This information helps to recognize the quality and, I suppose, that it is necessary not only for designers, but for all the people, who buy shoes.
Finally, the atmosphere during the course was nice and friendly. So, I hope you will enjoy the course as I did.”
