NABA and Scuola Leonardo da Vinci
The Italian Language School Leonardo da Vinci is the leading Italian language institute with an experience of over 30 years in the educational field.
Leonardo da Vinci Italian language school in Milan is located on the same campus as NABA so that students can easily move from the academy to the language school.
The Italian language schools offer a wide variety of high quality Italian language courses all year round, but students may do more than just learn Italian. In addition to the language courses, the school offers courses in Italian art, Italian culture as well as examination courses for Italian certificates. The schools are officially authorised by the Italian Ministry of Education.
NABA and Scuola Leonardo da Vinci have developed a brand new educational package in which students who do not have or want to improve their knowledge of Italian language or design will be able to experience a full immersion in Italian design culture, taking advantage of living in the cutting edge of Italian design and learning the language to feel part of the city.
In collaboration with Leonardo da Vinci School of Italian, NABA is offering its Introduction Level Courses in various design areas together with courses of Italian language either for absolute beginners or for students who have a language background.

All design courses have 45 contact hours and are held in English
Leonardo da Vinci Summer Session
Language courses have 40 classes and last 2 weeks. Courses of Italian language can be taken prior to the course of design or after it or even 1 class before and one after (in case students decide to take 4 weeks of Italian).
A sample of starting/ending dates of courses of Italian will help you plan your summer in Italy:
Starting Date: June 21st - Ending Date: July 2nd [2weeks course]
Starting Date: June 7th - Ending Date: July 2nd [4 weeks course]
Starting Date: July 19th - Ending Date: July 30th [2 weeks course]
Starting Date: July 19th - Ending Date: August 13th [4 weeks course]
Please notice that NABA and LDV have designed this course package in order to respond to your specific needs therefore plan your Italian experience bearing in mind the schedule flexibility that we are offering you.
You might take 2 or 4 weeks of Italian language and an Introduction Level Course in a design field and you are free to select when to take the course of Italian (before or after the design course)
TUITION FEES:
NABA introduction level course (to be chosen from the list above) + 2 weeks Italian language course at LDV: 1930 €*
* including a voucher to be spent at NABA cafeteria for each day of class.

ACCOMMODATION FEES FOR 2 WEEKS (13 NIGHTS):
Single room in a shared apartment with other students: 280 €
Double room in a shared apartment with other students: 215 €
Single room in a family with breakfast: 280 €
Single room in a family with half board: 410 €
ACCOMMODATION FEES FOR 4 WEEKS (27 NIGHTS):
Single room in a shared apartment with other students: 580 €

ACCOMMODATION FEES FOR 6 WEEKS (41 NIGHTS):

These fees are all for person and check in dates are on Sundays prior to the beginning of the course and check out days are on Saturdays after the last day of class.

PAYMENT PROCEDURE
Payment has to be made by bank transfer. Please specify the cause of the payment by writing the participant's name and the full name of the course on the bank transfer statement (ex. "John Smith – Italian Language + Design Summer Session 2010 - Introduction to Product Design + Language course starting on ……").

Please note that all bank charges are your responsibility along with any charges related to the transfer of these funds (conditions “OUR” on payment order).
In case NABA and Scuola Leonardo da Vinci do not receive the full tuition amount, you will be asked to pay the missing amount cash upon arrival directly to NABA Administration Office. Payment settlement is a condition to admission into class.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
All cancellations must be made in writing according to the following deadlines:
- before April 30th: full refund of the tuition fee minus the 150 € registration fee
- before May 31st: refund of 70 % of the tuition fee minus the 150 € registration fee
- before June 15th: refund of 50 % of the tuition fee minus the 150 € registration fee
In case of withdrawal from the course, an official withdrawal letter written by the enrolled student shall be sent to NABA Summer Programs Registration Centre (summer@naba.it).

NABA and Scuola Leonardo da Vinci reserve the right to:
- amend or cancel courses, change course location or substitute lecturers and tutors.
- make any changes that in our absolute discretion we consider necessary or appropriate for reasons of operational efficiency or due to any other circumstances that are beyond our control.
If we cancel a course then we shall endeavour to give as much notice as possible. We shall refund the fees paid in full but we shall not be liable for any other consequential loss.
